Компенсатор состоит из вертикальной направляющей с колесами и направляющими колесами и роликами, которые заправляются ТПЖ двумя способами в зависимости от сечения кабеля и скорости.
Компенсатор устанавливает скорость отдающего или приемного устройства для расположения кабеля на постоянной высоте от пола, что обеспечивает примерно постоянное натяжение кабеля. Натяжение устанавливается за счет давления воздуха регулятором установленный на компенсаторе.
